Individual Coaching

Individual athlete coaching is the signature training style of the Playtri brand. Playtri has been working one-on-one with athletes all over the country to help them achieve their goals for almost 20 years. Individual coaching is best for athletes who:

  • Need a more flexible training schedule
  • Have aggressive/time-limited goals
  • Want to move from completing to competing
  • Prefer/require a more individualized approach
  • Wish to train for Ironman (or other ultra distance events)

PROGRAMS

Individually coached athletes are required to train and race with heart rate as a part of Playtri's load-based training program. All programs include a $200 registration fee, with covers initial threshold testing for bike and run.

BRONZE PROGRAM

$160/Month, Level 1-3 Coaches Only

Four month commitment, athlete pays 1st & 4th months upfront

  • Load-based macro plan based on individual fitness, goals and commitments
  • Weekly assigned schedule based on personal availability and macro load/goal-specific needs
  • Receive detailed swim, bike and run workouts assigned from our Bronze coaching library
  • Detailed race strategy provided for all competitions, including warm up, cool down, and in-race guidelines for heart rate, power, pace, cadence, etc.
  • Three emails per week to the coach (athlete must initiate)
  • One phone call per week with the coach (athlete must initiate)
  • Pre and post-race emails for all competitions (athlete must initiate)
  • 1 adjustment to the macro plan per year
  • 1 adjustment to the schedule per week
  • Analysis of all provided files, including power, heart rate and cadence
  • 1 free tests/sessions a year – certain restrictions apply
  • Playtri Race Team/Club membership w/ full benefits (optional)

SILVER PROGRAM

$250/Month, Level 1-3 Coaches - $300/Month, Level 4 & 5 Coaches

Four month commitment, athlete pays 1st & 4th months upfront

  • Load-based macro plan based on individual fitness, goals and commitments
  • Weekly assigned schedule based on personal availability and macro load/goal-specific needs
  • Receive detailed swim, bike and run workouts assigned from our Silver coaching library
  • Detailed race strategy provided for all competitions, including nutrition, hydration, warm up, cool down, and in-race guidelines for heart rate, power, pace, cadence, etc.
  • Five emails per week to the coach (athlete must initiate)
  • One phone call per week with the coach (athlete must initiate)
  • Pre- and post-race phone calls for all “A” competitions (athlete must initiate and schedule)
  • Pre- and post-race emails for all competitions (athlete must initiate)
  • Documentation and analysis of training nutrition/hydration logs
  • Prescribed nutrition and hydration for all events, long training and key training
  • 2 adjustments to the macro plan per year
  • 2 adjustments to the schedule per week
  • Analysis of all provided files, including power, heart rate and cadence
  • Analysis of written feedback and nutrition logs
  • 3 free tests/sessions a year (1 every 4 months) – certain restrictions apply
  • Playtri Race Team/Club membership w/ full benefits (optional)

GOLD PROGRAM

$500/Month, Level 4 & 5 Coaches Only

Four month commitment - athlete pays 1st & 4th months upfront

  • Load-based macro plan based on individual fitness, goals and commitments
  • Weekly assigned schedule based on personal availability and macro load/goal-specific needs
  • Receive detailed swim, bike and run workouts assigned from our Gold coaching library, and custom workouts as needed
  • Detailed race strategy provided for all competitions, including nutrition, hydration, warm up, cool down, and in-race guidelines for heart rate, power, pace, cadence, etc.
  • Unlimited communication with the coach
  • Pre- and post-race meetings for all “A” competitions (athlete must initiate and schedule)
  • Pre- and post-race phone calls for all competitions (athlete must initiate and schedule)
  • Daily macro nutrition guidelines based on RMR/Vo2 testing, assigned workouts and feedback
  • Documentation and analysis of training nutrition/hydration logs
  • Prescribed nutrition and hydration for all events, long training and key training
  • Unlimited adjustments to weekly and macro plans
  • Analysis of all provided files, including power, heart rate and cadence (other metrics as deemed necessary by the coach)
  • Analysis of written feedback and nutrition logs
  • 6 free tests/sessions a year (2 every 4 months) – certain restrictions apply
  • Playtri Race Team/Club membership w/ full benefits (optional)
